Launching September 1, Urbanicity is excited to offer The Cities Exchangea new, online forum where communities of all sizes can share experiences and expertise on the management and development of sustainable practices.

The concept is simple … write a summary of what kinds of policies and practices have been implemented in your community, assess the outcomes, and post it to The Cities Exchange site.

Everything is welcome … from village issues to complex urban sustainability challenges.

Visit.  Share.  Learn.

Municipalities across Canada also have the opportunity to apply for funding to develop sustainable communities through the EQuilibrium Communities Initiative.

The emphasis of this initiative is on community planning and development which makes this a particularly attractive opportunity for communities already engaged in developing a Municipal Sustainability Plan (MSP) as MSP projects typically have a similar focus.

Submissions for this funding program will be accepted until September 22, 2009.
